AI Chatbots
Creating a Bot
Create an AI chatbot to automate responses on your channels.
Creating a chatbot
- Go to Chatbots and click Create Chatbot
- Enter a name for your bot
- Set the role name — this defines the bot's persona (e.g., "Customer Support Agent", "Sales Assistant")
- Optionally add a description
- Optionally use Generate with AI — describe what you want the bot to do, and Qwetty drafts its persona and starter knowledge for you
- Save to create the bot
Configuring the bot
After creating, open the chatbot's Details page. It has the following tabs:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Overview | Summary of the bot's configuration |
| Knowledge | Prompts and Q&A pairs that train the bot (see Knowledge Base) |
| Intelligence | Persona, tone, languages, and behavioral rules |
| Analytics | Sentiment, language distribution, unanswered questions, and interaction timeline |
| Testing | A playground to test the bot's responses before deploying |
| Settings | Name, channel assignment, conversation memory, and escalation settings |
Prompts
The bot's behavior is defined by prompts, which live inside the Knowledge tab alongside Q&A. Prompts provide system instructions that guide how the bot responds, including tone, language, and response style.
Enabling and disabling
Toggle the Enabled switch to activate or deactivate the bot. A disabled bot will not respond to messages, even if assigned to a channel.
Next steps
- Knowledge Base — Add training data to your bot
- Assigning to Channels — Deploy the bot on a channel
